Brian Hudson - Class Of 2002

Brian Donald Hudson

Brian Hudson, 25, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Hershey, was called home by Our Lord on June 7, 2009. Born on March 8, 1984 in Red Bank, NJ, to Don and Karen Hudson, Brian’s childhood was happy and adventurous.

During his elementary years, Brian was a Cub Scout, he played soccer, loved magic and juggling. His passions evolved - skateboarding, snowboarding, rollerblading and riding his BMX bike, “the General Lee”. He moved on to middle school where he was a founding member of the Extreme Sports Club. These passions were the key to many friendships, including those made at Woodward Camp, which he attended several summers. At just 8 years old, when attending skateboarding camp for the first time, he remarked to his parents when they tentatively dropped him off – “Mom, it’s alright. I will make friends.”

In high school, Brian enjoyed team sports of roller and ice hockey; his other interests included tennis, racquetball, golf and surfing. He enjoyed concerts and live music.

Brian was a 2002 graduate of Hershey High School. After completing a certification in Audio Installation at Mobile Dynamics, Phoenix, Arizona, he furthered his education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Gaming from UNLV in May, 2009.

Locally, during his high school years, Brian was employed by Papa John’s Pizza, Royer’s Flowers, Harrisburg Airport and worked by his dad’s side at The Patisserie and Deli at Hilltop. He sold Cutco Knives and then was a Salesman at HIFI House. As an undergraduate at UNLV, Brian interned with Shuffle Master and made his acting debut as a taxi driver on the Entourage television show. Since 2006, he was employed by U S Airways, Las Vegas, in the Fleet Services Division.

Brian’s greatest accomplishments were being a good friend and making each day one to remember. He traveled near and far to be with friends and family: San Diego, Whistler, Utah, Colorado, Myrtle Beach, Florida, Costa Rica, Mexico and Italy.

In Brian’s own words, “I’m fun, laid-back, outgoing, adventurous, athletic, honest and friendly. I love to travel and see new places; road trips are awesome! I like the beach, dining out, surfing, live music, movies, bowling, pool, hockey, golf and snowboarding.”

In addition to his loving parents and sister, Julie, Brian is survived by grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
