Gregory Lee Fisher, 53, of Laguna Beach, CA, and form-erly of Hershey, passed away unexpectedly, from cardiac arrest while on business in Salta, Argentina on Novem-ber 16, 2011. Born March 6, 1958 in Hershey, he is the son of William and Grace Fisher of Hershey. He was a 1976 graduate of Hershey High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in June 1976, and served as an Air Traffic Controller in Austin, Texas until May 1978. He Graduated, from Millers-ville University in May 1982 B.S. Degree in Political Science.
In 1982 he began his career in the insurance industry at Nationwide Insurance as a risks manager. His career continued with various companies and positions over the next 25 years.
In January 2007 he became President of Strata Care in Irvine, CA, a national bill review software solutions and service company. He held that position until September 2008, when he started his own company and served as a consultant with CCMSI in Louisiana. At the present time he was on a special project with JB Knowledge in Salta, Argentina.
Greg was a highly respect-ed consultant in the insur-ance industry. He drafted specifications for webpage designs and for insurance claims applications. He has been associated with various insurance organizations over his career, including REMS, of which he was planning to attend REMS' April annual meeting in Philadelphia.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two sons; Joseph J. of Laguna Beach, CA and Mathew M. of Wilmington, NC; His former wife, Elizabeth (Neidert) Fisher, also from Wilmington, NC; and an Uncle, Adam Fisher of Dover, Delaware.
